This year’s G+ Stakeholder Forum was held on 8th and 9th March 2022 and provided an opportunity to present the work done by G+ and key deliverables to industry, and to receive feedback. 2022 was the second Stakeholder Forum G+ held virtually, which enabled participants for across the globe to participate in three events: a core event, an APAC event, and a North America event. All three events began with a networking session.

The Core event consisted of an opening address by Jakob Nielsen, Chair of the G+ Board, an update on the G+ work programme completed in 2021 as well as an outlook on the 2022 work programme. As the forum coincided with International Women’s Day, it celebrated the stories, experiences and aspirations of women in the offshore wind workforce with a dedicated video. This was followed by breakout group sessions to obtain input from attendees and steer the respective G+ workstreams on lifting, steel fabrication yards, personnel transfer, manual handling, emergency response and to discuss future technologies.

Both the APAC and North America events were chaired by their Focal Group chairs and presented the work G+ is doing in the regions and plans for 2022. The key learnings for future events, extracted from received feedback, were to extend time for networking and minimise overlaps in general G+ information presented throughout the event days.

Recordings of the Core eventNorth America event and APAC event are available on the Energy Institute's YouTube channel.

G+ plans to hold its next Stakeholder Forum in 2023. Please sign-up to the G+ mailing list, on the bottom of the G+ website, to be included in the invite.
