Robb Hall, Americas Chair

G+ Americas FG Welcomes New Chair, Robb Hall

This summer the G+ Americas Focal Group came under new leadership as Robb Hall, Head of Safety, Security and Sustainability for Renewables Americas at Equinor, took over as Chair of this Group. This comes as Scot Hewitt-Gudgin, from Corio Generation, completed his two years tenure as Chair.  Robb has been one of the founding members of the G+ US Group, which launched in 2020 to bring together the US offshore wind operators to share learnings and uphold and adapt industry safety standards to the unique characteristics of the US market.

Peter Lukens, from Siemens Gamesa, will continue his role as Vice Chair for one more year.  The Group works closely with its members in the Region as well as Regulators and other regional industry associations like the American Clean Power Association (ACP), the OCEANTIC network or the Offshore Operators Committee (OOC), and the World Bank. They have also signed a cooperation agreement with ABEEólica, the Brazilian Association of Wind Energy and New Technologies. Focus areas for this Focal Group include Emergency Response, Electrical Safety, Safety Management Systems, and severe weather preparedness.
